Teens Are Saying kNOw
TASK is an abstinence program bringing the "freedoms of sexual abstinence until marriage message" to thousands of students through our TASk Program. The TASk program is offered to school districts and organizations at no cost, however donations of any size are graciously accepted to help offset the cost of program materials and to allow us to continue to offer the program at no cost. During the 1999-2000 year, programs were presented to over 725 young people.
Our program is divided into 4 different sessions that deal with STDs, risk-taking behaviors, adoption/abortion/parenting and healthy relationships that encourage each student to make a commitment to abstinence until marriage.
The TASk middle school program is a one-hour to a full-day curriculum for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students that creates an awareness of choices and consequences, expands the vision of personal responsibility, and personally impacts teens at a time in their life when they are forming sexual attitudes and behaviors. Using an interactive approach in classroom discussion, tools such as videos, hands-on activities, and role-play are designed to encourage student participation.
The TASk high school/college program consists of a one-hour to a full-day curriculum presented by dynamic speakers who discuss the practical application of abstinence as a lifestyle choice. We provide students with the answers of how to say "no" to risk-taking behavior and "yes" to life.
TASk was created to educate teenagers about the value of sexual abstinence before marriage. *"True abstinence means avoiding sexual intercourse as well as any activity involving genital contact or genital stimulation." Believing that abstinence benefits the overall physical, emotional, spiritual, and social well being of humanity, we are committed to empowering our youth to make healthy lifestyle choices. Practical application tools are designed to equip teens to recognize the lasting effect that today's decisions can make on the future. Through TASk, young people learn that one individual acting with integrity can have a positive impact not only on their own life, but also on all society.
A parent meeting can also be arranged before the seminar. Enclosed is a copy of a parent permission and information form to be sent home with the student.
